FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Wards & Admission FAQs

No — and this matters to us as a charitable hospital. The same doctors do rounds, the same nurses administer medication, the same protocols apply. Room category changes only your comfort amenities (privacy, AC, TV, attendant bed) — never the quality of medical care.

Yes, one attendant pass is issued per patient in all categories. Private and deluxe rooms have an attendant bed/sofa; in general wards, attendant seating is beside the bed. In the paediatric ward, a parent always stays with the child.

We recommend hospital food because it follows the diet prescribed for the patient\u2019s condition. If you wish to bring food from home, please check with the nursing staff first — some conditions (diabetes, kidney disease, post-surgery) have strict dietary restrictions.

Yes, upgrades and downgrades are possible subject to availability — speak to the admission desk. Scheme patients should note their scheme may cap the eligible room category; upgrading beyond it may involve paying the difference.

Visiting hours are displayed at each ward entrance and kept limited to protect patients from infection and ensure rest. The registered attendant can stay beyond visiting hours. ICU visiting rules are stricter — see our ICU page for details.
