ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Gentle Care for Growing Children

Children are not small adults — they need specialised care suited to their growing bodies and minds. Our paediatricians are trained to diagnose and treat the full range of childhood illnesses, monitor healthy growth and development, and provide preventive care through vaccination.

We also run regular immunisation and well-baby clinics, because preventing illness is always better than treating it.

Paediatrics FAQs

Yes. Our paediatric ward is designed for children — with a parent always staying alongside the child, child-appropriate care, and nursing staff experienced in handling young patients. It keeps children comfortable and parents reassured.

Yes, we follow the national immunisation schedule (and IAP recommendations). Our vaccination clinic maintains your child\u2019s vaccination record, reminds you of due dates, and ensures vaccines are stored under proper cold-chain conditions for full effectiveness.

Come to emergency immediately for: high fever with fits, difficulty breathing, persistent vomiting, severe dehydration, unusual drowsiness, or any injury. For routine cough, cold, mild fever or check-ups, the OPD during the day is appropriate. When in doubt, call us.

Yes, our NICU (Neonatal ICU) provides intensive care for premature babies and sick newborns — with incubators, paediatric ventilators and neonatologist supervision. Confirm current bed availability by calling our desk.

As a charitable hospital, we prioritise children — our rates are kept low, and charitable subsidy support is prioritised for needy children. CGHS/ESI/scheme coverage applies as per entitlement.
